Welcome to Weekend Owl ("Weekend Owl", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Use of the site

You may use Weekend Owl for personal, non-commercial purposes: browsing listings, reading about events, claiming and managing your own business listing, and sharing content with others. You agree not to use the site in any way that violates applicable laws, infringes on the rights of others, or disrupts the operation of the site.

2. User-submitted content

When you submit business listings, events, deals, reviews, ratings, or any other content to Weekend Owl, you warrant that (a) the content is accurate and lawful, (b) you have the right to post it, and (c) it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, modify, and promote your submissions on the site and in related communications (such as newsletters).

We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any content at our sole discretion — for example, if it's spam, inaccurate, misleading, offensive, or otherwise violates these terms.

3. Accuracy of information

We work hard to keep business hours, event details, prices, and deal information accurate and current, but we can't guarantee it. Things change, listings go stale, and errors happen. Always verify critical details (hours, pricing, availability) directly with the business or event organizer before acting on them.

4. Third-party links and events

Weekend Owl links to third-party websites — event ticketing platforms (such as Ticketmaster and Eventbrite), business websites, deal sources, and others. We are not responsible for the content, policies, pricing, or practices of those third parties. Clicking through to an external site is at your own risk, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave Weekend Owl.

5. User accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual property

All original content on Weekend Owl — including the site's design, code, branding, and curated editorial content — is owned by Weekend Owl or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute substantial portions of the site without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Weekend Owl is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information on the site is complete or accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weekend Owl is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to losses caused by inaccurate listings, expired deals, cancelled events, or the actions of third parties linked from the site.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
